500 years ago, Martin Luther presented 95 theses to the church in hopes of sparking theological debate about the practices of the church. Instead it sparked a movement that not only led to the Protestant Reformation, but also reformation within the Roman Catholic Church. Our worship that day, in addition to our practice of remembering our Scottish roots as Presbyterians (think bagpipes and tartans), will focus on what core ideas of the Reformation do we still carry with us. We will also have a special musical piece based on The Belhar confession, the newest confession to be added to our book of Confessions.
Will be at the Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church with proceeds to benefit the Youth Scholarship program
Beginning Tuesday, August 15, the New Horizons Band will be rehearsing in our sanctuary each Tuesday from 10:00 am til noon. This is a group of retired musicians who simply love to get together and play. Sometime in the course of their season, we hope to have them give a concert for us! Welcome to our new musical neighbors!
