As a PC (USA) congregation, we have two boards of volunteers (Elders and Deacons) that lead and serve our congregation and its ministries.
The Session is the board of ruling elders ordained to govern the congregation in a variety of areas including finance and property, education, worship, outreach, mission, and fellowship. The board of 12 oversees the work of committees and groups, and coordinates the ministries of the congregation. They have the responsibility for receiving new members and authorizing the sacraments of baptism and communion. The elders are elected by the congregation and are ordained by the PC(USA).
